Encourage Your Young Artists
For parents and their children ages 4 – 8
Next workshop: Saturday, November 20th from 11:00am to 1:00pm
This workshop is designed to give parents practical and philosophical information that will help them support the artistic endeavors of their children.
Topics to be covered:
- Art materials and tools to have at home
- Creating a space for your child to work
- Providing helpful, balanced feedback
- Creating art with your child
- Displaying and preserving your child’s artwork
While parents discuss ideas and explore the artistic process, the young artists themselves will happily indulge their artistic talents in my backyard studio.
Cost: $40
Family Silkscreen Workshop
For parents and their children ages 7 and older
Saturday, November 13th
10:00am to 1:30pm
Cost: $45 per person, $65 for parent and child.

Silkscreen printing is an extremely satisfying way to make clean, high impact images that can be printed on paper, wood, cloth, and metal. This all day workshop will introduce you to the basics of screen-printing: image design that is suitable for one and two-color runs and how to use the equipment effectively. This workshop will help you with the skills and information you will need to create your own simple printing shop at home! Bring a lunch and wear old clothes!
Drawing & Painting for Adults with Jennifer Burke
For those who never got around to taking that art class in college. Or, for the person who already enjoys the satisfaction of art making, but who wants an infusion of ideas, new technique, and artistic camaraderie. Join us for evenings of lively instruction, project inspiration, and creative experimentation in a low-key, but thoroughly creative atmosphere.
